A year I will always remember.

During this past year, I had the great opportunity to get to know so many community leaders and neighbors, I ran for Springfield Township Trustee and completed another semester at Clark State College.

Over the course of the year, I had the pleasure of being involved with Brake The Cycle, a program in Springfield Ohio that works with at-risk youth to help them get on the right track.

From March to November I ran for office for the first time. I am proud of the campaign we ran. Since November 2nd I have been asked multiple times if I plan on running agin in two years. As of now, I can say , I’m open to it.

In past years I have been able to reflect on my activism, once marching with the Springfield NAACP for peace and traveling to Dayton to protest a KKK rally. This year, my activism was on display in a different way.

This year I have made many new friends and supported different causes.

As I sit at my desk writing down my thoughts on the year, I am hopful for tomorrow and what it will bring, the progress we will make, and the lives we can impact. It is my hope that you share this hope as we close the book on 2021.
