Cleaning up our neighborhoods.

Cleaning up our neighborhoods is towards the top of my list of things I want to tackle if elected. I have a plan to do that without issuing hefty fines on struggling residents.

The Community Clean Up program will give residents the option to have their bulky and scrap items that are on their property bought at a lower rate than their value. The scrap will be sold and the revenue made from the sale will be put into a special account to collect interest and be used in the future on projects for the neighborhood that it came from.

This program will also organize neighborhood litter pickups that include Township employees, residents wanting to assist, and Clark-Shawnee students who need community service hours to graduate. We will also look into deploying a fleet of trash cans in neighborhoods with the most litter in an effort to encourage folks to use them instead of throwing their trash on the ground.

This program will

1. Clean up our neighborhoods

2. Increase property values

3. Boost community moral

4. Help our Clark-Shawnee kids graduate and give back to the community

This is just one of the programs I will fight to create if elected as Trustee.
